It’s early days, but you can already start heading out to the best undiscovered places to eat and drink across Wales! The scope in this little country is way bigger than you imagine: think everything from off-the-radar town bistros to middle-of-nowhere country pubs, from serendipitous farmers’ markets through to the coolest breweries and distilleries and from the Marches in the east to the Pembrokeshire Coast in the west.
Our map below shows you the places we currently feature that you can visit to eat and drink.
We divide our mapped content into three key areas: Eat & Drink (where you are now) as well as Explore and Sleep, each of which we divide into five key regional sub-sections: South Wales & the Valleys, Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire, Mid Wales and Snowdonia & North Wales.
On the map, the yellow stars mark the different regions and the blue pinpoints mark our featured eating and drinking places. We’ve coded each place we feature so that you know a bit more about what to expect, as follows: firstly by type (Food Truck, Takeaway, Cafe, Coffee Roastery, Bistro, Pub, Bar, Brewery, Distillery, Restaurant, Seafood, Indian, French, Italian) and secondly by setting (Isolated (meaning the place is in the wilderness or wild countryside), Countryside (meaning the place is in a rural but not overly remote location), Village or Town/City).
